Which non-profit organizations are participating in August 2023?
A Path 4 Paws Dog Rescue
A Path 4 Paws Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer based organization that rescues all breeds of dogs to give them a second chance at finding a loving home since 2017. They have grown to be one of Nevada’s largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter.
Muscatine Humane Society
Muscatine Humane Society is an open admission facility taking in stray and owned pets no matter what their circumstances. Their goal is to find all of their animals loving, forever homes.
Heart of America Humane Society
Heart of America Humane Society is a 100% volunteer organization working to find good homes for animals. They do not have a shelter of their own, instead they have created a cooperative partnership with 2 area city shelters and they host adoption events at 3 area PetSmart locations on Saturdays. They also have an Outreach team to assist animals and their owners in the community. In addition, they have a TNR team that strives to work on controlling the feral cat population in their community.
Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue
Purrfect Peaches Cat Rescue’s mission is to rescue unwanted cats and kittens from imminent danger of being killed in overcrowded shelters. They are spayed or neutered with vaccines and a chip. The cats are loved and cared for by all of their volunteer staff until adoption. They provide community outreach to inform the community about pet care, pet food banks, low cost spay/neuter/vaccines and local TNR groups.
