Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures have decided to work together again on a new project, following the success of the “Despicable Me” films. This new project, called “Untitled Pets Movie”, is an animated film featuring New York pets in their daily lives.

After the major success of “Despicable Me” that made about $1, 497 billion in the box office worldwide, a new film is being made due to be released in 2016. Producers are currently working on a spin-off of “Despicable Me” called “Minions” and a new episode of Gru’s life, which is scheduled for release in 2017. Untitled Pet’s Movie will be released on 12 February 2016.

In this film, the animals who all live in a large building in Manhattan, all get together after their owners leave in the morning. During their time together they talk about their owners, sharing funny stories about them. For some reason two of these heroes find themselves in the streets of the city. Here they have an encounter with a rabbit, who is the leader of a band of abandoned animals.

You can recognise the voices in the film, they belong to Louis CK, Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) and Kevin Hart (comedienne). The directors of the movie are Chris Renaud, co- director of “Despicable Me” and Yarrow Cheney.

We can’t wait to watch it!
