Are you the proud owner of a cat? If so, you have probably already seen your cat give you a "nose kiss". This adorable gesture is one way in which cats are able to show use their affection.

Cats show their affection in a variety of ways. For example, they can rub their faces on us to spread their scent and pheromones. Sometimes, they can give us little head bonks to show their love. When cats give us a "nose kiss", it's a way for them to say hello and tell us that they love us.

What am I in the eyes of my cat?

In a cats's eyes, humans look like gigantic and dangerous creature. They only know that we are not dangerous because we live with them and treat them well.

Because we are so big and so kind, it can be hard for cats to figure us out. However, as they are determined to understand us, they reduce us to proportions that they understand. To cats, we are familiar beings that they cannot eat.

A demonstration of love and affection

As you are familiar to them, your cat treats you like a member of their family. They give you head bonks, stay close to you, and come put their nose against your own.

This is one of the most wonderful things about cats. Even though we are strange to them, they still love us. We are the weirdest creatures in the eyes of cats, but they still accept us unconditionally.

When your cat gives you a "nose kiss", they are familiarizing themselves with you and showing their affection. If they wake you up even at night to give you a "nose kiss", it's important to reciprocate the affection and accept their needs. Your cat needs to show you their love. They consider you to be one of their own—their family
