Great news pet lovers: a Cat Café is opening in East London! That's definitely Pet Friendly, right?
Well you can't bring your own pet, but I am glad for all the petless Londoners who finally have a place to cuddle cute little furballs.
Thanks to Lauren Pears, who managed to raise £109,510 on crowdfunding website IndieGoGo. She is currently negotiating with a local council and looking for the perfect property for the business, and of courses searching for the "purrfect" cats to live in the café!
Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium will be the first of its kind in the UK, in fact -- a lounge that's part new home for abandoned, homeless cats, part haven for tea and kitten enthusiasts living the busy lifestyles present in East London's thriving business district.
Cat Cafés were born in Tokyo were people work late and have tiny apartments, thus don't have time or place for a a pet of their own.
It has been proven that a 15 min cuddle with a cat helps reduce stress levels! I love that idea!
Wondering if there will be dog café soon...?
"If the cat cafe goes well I'd like to open a dog pub," says Pears. "You know those 'old man pubs'? Like that but with big old handsome dogs."
YAY!
What do you think of it? Would you go there?
