Whilst we all know that there is a large consumption of pet meat in China, and this is pretty common practice, the Yulin festival sees the largest slaughter of dog and cat meat.
By only seeing some of the images from this festival, you will understand the importance of stopping this and saving these wonderful creatures.
We are beseeching with everyone to get behind the efforts to stop this festival and to make certain that every puppy and kitty are safe as the houses they should be living in.
What we are asking is that every YummyPal and YummyFriend support YummyPets in getting involved in the conversations to make people aware of how important it is that this is stopped. #STOPYULIN2015
Why is this so important?
On the 21st and 22nd of July every year our furry friends are packed into inhumane cages where they’re heavily mistreated until their slaughter. They are then impaled with sharp spears and then cooked in front of the hungry festival goers.
This massacre sees the death of nearly 10,000 dogs and 4,000 cats.
One huge problem, among the obvious trillion others, is that these pets are being illegal obtained, sometimes even kidnapped from their owners and then thrust into this atrocity that we are seeing.
Despite the 2 Million Chinese people that oppose the event, even more pressure is needed from the international community to make sure that this is stopped. Can you imagine that if this continues how much hurt they are going to bring to our four legged friends?
