What is cataract?
A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye, leading to a decrease in vision. It's a degenerative disease that may start at around 7 or 8 years old. Most of the time, it is due to aging.
Treatments of cataract
Cataract can be treated with surgery, but when dogs are very old, the anesthesia is very dangerous and veterinarians don't always advise it. When the disease starts, food supplements help slowing down its progression.
