Police have found and captured a lion cub in an apartment in the Paris suburbs.

Lion cub photos posted on social media

The little cub was first brought to the attention of the authorities after the owner posted photos on social media.

The 24-year-old man was tracked down to an apartment in the east of Paris, only to find that the lion cub was at another address.

According to the Independent, when firefighters got to the scared animal, it was “wasting away”. The apartment in question is located in Noisy-le-Sec.

The cub was finally captured with a lasso and put into the care of an animal rights group. The man has been taken into custody.

Last year, a drug-dealer in Paris was in possession of a tiger. The wild animal was being used as a photo prop, with which people could pay £5 to have a photo taken.
