Paul Williams, the director of the BBC, has adopted a beautiful little squirrel that was abandoned in Sri Lanka. The squirrel was named Rob and these photos show off the time he had with Rob before he had to return home.
Paul is no stranger to animal stories, and when he found the little squirrel he initially thought he was dead. He was proved wrong when the little thing started to move and Paul realised he had hypothermia.
Realising that the squirrel needed some warmth, Paul and his team searched for the mother’s nest but unfortunately couldn’t find anything. They concluded that she must have been caught by a predator and little Rob was now an orphan. Paul decided then that he would take care of the squirrel until he could be released back into the forest.
Paul had to return back to England for work and couldn’t take Rob with him unfortunately. He was left in the care of the staff at the hotel who took him on immediately.
Enjoy the photos of this very touching story!
