Two owners of guide dogs tied the knot after an encounter between their pets helped them to find " true love ".

Claire Johnson, 50, and Mark Gaffey, 51, were married in Baralston, Stoke -on- Trent , after their pooches fell in love during a training session two years ago.

Guide dogs Venice and Rodd took the happy couple through the service and even acted as the Ring-bearers.

The newlyweds met in 2012 on a training guide dog seminar.

It became clear that Rodd and Venice had fallen head -over- paws in love.

The bride said: "I have no doubt that our guide dogs brought us together and helped me find my true love. Just like our two guide dogs, we really are best friends and soul mates ".

She added: " Our dogs are the love story. Everyone used to joke about how Mark's dog Rodd and my dog, Venice were meant to be together".

When the training ended, their lives changed forever.

The couple could not bring themselves to separate the two Labrador Retrievers, so they agreed to meet for dates.

With only 1.5 miles separating the couple, coffee dates soon turned into lunch dates, and possibly the quartet became devoted to each other.

After enjoying a whirlwind romance, Mr. Gaffey popped the question and asked Ms. Johnson to marry him on Valentine's Day last year.

Lady G Once I told him he needed to find himself a wife, but he is very proud. He doesn't want to be a burden. He told me he didn't want to someone to himself as a nurse. What a truly sad destiny...

SandfliesEmperor N You know, I grew to believe that a human destiny is in human hands. So if this neighbor of yours doesn't want to find a new wife, that only means he doesn't want it! So you cannot do anything else but leave him alone. My uncle, after a year of mourning due to his first wife's demise, got to www.nastyhookups.com/ and started dating younger girls. His neighbors were laughing at him at first, saying that an old goat wanted some new grass. But after six months, he found a wonderful woman whom he now dates on a permanent basis.
