Golden Retriever behavior

He gets an hour combined of walking and long hikes on weekends. During the week, my girlfriend works nights so she is home with him while I am at a day job

Overall they are calm and patient. Very friendly dogs, they are happy to see new people around. Very energetic dogs, so i usually take my retriever for 1 hour walk. Playful, so they have to do some exercises, throw some sticks. Also they are very gentle with stuff they are carrying in their mouth, because they were originally bred as duck-hunting dogs.
