Scratching the couch

Hello,


My cat instead of using the scratcher, she scratch the furnitures, specially the couch. I cannot afford for that because I am renting an apartment and I will have to pay for the damages. Maybe cold you please advice me how to encourage the cat to use the scratcher?

    Maybe try to move cat from the furnitures to the scratcher everytime. Also, you can try to use cat repellent spray.
