How "hypo-allergenic" are Siberian cats really?

Hi all,

We've been doing some research on Siberian cats as we'd love to get one one day.

It appears as though using the term "hypo-allergenic" isn't technically correct but rather that Siberians are more "allergy-friendly". We understand about the Fel d 1 protein produced.

My Q is - how have other Siberian parents found their allergy levels since owning one? Was this the reason why you got one in the first place? Do you know if it varies between one Siberian to another?

Any insights would be super helpful.

Thank you :D
