Lysine, is it right to give my dog this supplement after stomach surgery?

Hello all,

My dog just had stomach surgery because he swallowed a stone from the garden. He is recovering slowly, but one of my friends has suggested me to give my dog a lysine for his speedy recovery. I have heard that this is for cat's digestion problems only.

If anybody's pet is also suffering from this kind of problem, Kindly suggest to me if I should give my dog this product or not.

    Yes, he has suggested me to get some supplements such as prenatal pills for dogs as they can help in getting enough folic acid and other vitamins as well for his recovery.

    Yes my vet advised me to give him calcium and taurine supplements.
