Hello! I don't know if you've already made your decisión but I'll talk about my experience with my adopted pets. I found my first cat in a forest. He was abandoned there and only 4 weeks old. The most wonderful and placid cat you can imagine. He passed away with 16 years of age. Since then I've adopted 4 dogs and 3 cats. The dogs of different ages between 10 weeks and 5 years old. The one I got as a puppy is very loving, not very bright and it's a massive effort to teach him anything. The 5 year old one had some trust issues which, with some professional help, we could solve and the other two, my first two dogs, Husky- Terrier mix and a German Shepherd mix, were just absolutely wonderful, and passed away at 14 and 17. So, I would always adopt, and actually always adult dogs. I know what I get, it's harder for them to find a forever home and they are so so so grateful. With cats it's different for me. I've always had them from a very Young age, so I can't talk about my experience with adopting adults.

When deciding between adopting a pet or buying from a breeder, consider factors like ethical concerns (supporting adoption vs. breeding), the specific breed or type of pet you desire, your ability to provide a forever home, and the costs associated with adoption fees versus purchasing from a breeder. Additionally, assess the pet's health, temperament, and the breeder's reputation for responsible breeding practices if opting for a breeder. Ultimately, prioritize the well-being and future care of the pet in making your decision.
