Chasing a flashlight

Queenie loves chasing a flashlight refection on the carpet. Shes comical when she plays the flashlight game It's her favorite game. My husband and I have brought her dog toys but she won't play with them. Any suggestions in getting her playing with her other toys.

Queenie sounds like quite the playful pup! Sometimes, dogs can have specific preferences when it comes to play. Here are a few tips that might help encourage Queenie to engage with her other toys:

Rotate Toys: Dogs can get bored with the same toys if they're always available. Try rotating her toys, keeping only a couple out at a time. Introduce a different toy every few days to keep her interest piqued.

Interactive Play: Show Queenie how to play with her toys by engaging in interactive playtime together. Get excited about the toys, toss them around, and make them seem fun and interesting. Dogs often love playing with toys more when their humans are involved.

Treat Dispensing Toys: Consider getting toys that dispense treats. This combines play and reward, making the toy more enticing. You can start by placing some of her favorite treats inside these toys to encourage her to explore and play with them.

Variety of Toys: Experiment with different types of toys—plush toys, chew toys, puzzle toys, squeaky toys, etc. Dogs often have preferences for certain textures or sounds, so try to find what appeals most to Queenie.

Playtime Routine: Establish a playtime routine where you dedicate a specific time each day to play with her and her toys. Consistency might encourage her to associate that time with play and engage more with the toys.

Positive Reinforcement: Whenever Queenie shows interest in her toys or plays with them, praise her and offer treats or affection. Positive reinforcement can reinforce the behavior of playing with toys.

Remember, every dog is unique, so it might take some trial and error to find the toys that truly capture Queenie's interest. Patience and persistence will be key in encouraging her to explore and enjoy her toy collection!

Hope this will help you !
