Do pets need hiking boots when going on mountains? Will it protect them

I am looking for an answer from exerts do my dog need hiking boots?

I read a blog at bootwisdom about dog boots. It says: Whether or not dogs need boots for hiking depends on the terrain and weather conditions.

If the trail has rocky, jagged terrain or hot pavement, boots can protect their paws from cuts and burns.

Boots can also provide additional grip on slippery or icy surfaces.

    Boots are 100% what will save your pet's paws. I have never regretted them! This is probably the best thing that came up for dogs! Hehe)
