Barking at strangers

-
Once your dog starts barking in the presence of a stranger, let them bark a few times. Then, gently hold their muzzle and say, “Quiet.” Avoid shouting, as that produces negative reinforcement. Take your hands off their muzzle. If they remain quiet, reward them with a treat. Check out his link, you will surely love this

I have the same trouble. My Rick is super friendly, but he always bark at strangers. Here is one blog post-https://www.petdoors.com/blogs/dog/how-to-train-a-dog-not-to-bark-at-strangers#:~:text=Territorial%20Barking,or%20merely%20just%20walks%20by on how to get rid of that trouble. I found it today, and I need to read it more carefully. Maybe, it will be useful for you!

Hi Beth,
Bugger, that's a bit of a nuisance I'll bet.
There could be a variety of reasons why he's doing that, so perhaps have a read of the article below to get more of an insight. There are some different training options you can go for so hopefully one of these helps!
Good luck and keep us posted!
