Finnish Lapphund

This dog of Finnish origin measures between 40cm and 55cm and weighs between 15 and 25 kilos. It has some of the same physical characteristics as the Spitz: it is compact, muscular, and longer than tall with large erect ears on its head. It has a lot of thick and medium hair, which is longer on its curved tail and its neck, where they form a kind of thick mane around the head. Groom it often.Originally used to hunt reindeers, this is a very active and alert animal that will make a great guard for the house. It is also very affectionate and is very gentle with children.
