Crippled lethargic field mouse in need of help

I caught a field mouse in a live trap and it's lethargic and thin. I put it in an old hamster cage with bedding and a hot water bag under the cage for warmth. I offered it soft carrots and water but I don't have a syringe or dropper to water it with and no where near me to take it. I live in a very "roden bad ew" area. How do I help it?

In the meantime, give him a place to be (a tissue box with lots of tissues), keep him warm and give him some grapes for hydration (cut in half) and any other seed type food you have in the house fireboy and watergirl. If you have birdseed, he’ll gladly eat that.

"Poor little mouse! It sounds like you're doing your best to help it. Offering warmth and soft food is a good start. If you can't get a syringe or dropper, maybe try placing a small dish of water near it."

Just keep an eye on it and provide comfort as best you can. If you're looking for supplies that might help, you could check out some accessories at https://hamsternow.com/hamster-accessories.
