Doga, otherwise known as yoga for dogs, is a great way for you to spend a relaxing moment with your dog and strengthen your bond.

The word doga is a combination of the words "yoga" and "dog". It is a relatively new practice that was created in New York about 20 years ago. This activity is not only beneficial and relaxing for you, but for your dog as well.

What do I need to do?

The first thing to do is to soothe your dog. To do this, you can do warm-ups and stretches. It is best to follow a doga teacher who can show you and your dog the yoga positions to try.  You must then let your dog come and try to imitate you by doing the postures. The goal is to relax and spend time together and not to force your pet to do yoga positions.

The benefits of doga

There are many benefits of doing yoga with your dog. To begin with, doga is an activity that allows you to exercise and stretch with your dog. It improves the flexibility of you and your dog. Moreover, this practice decreases stress in dogs. You might even notice that your dog is becoming more concentrated.

Doing doga also allows you to share a moment of peace and trust together.

Whatever their size or age, all dogs can do doga. Why not give it a try?
