Lonely dog finally cuddles his best friend

A beautiful story about the friendship of two dogs: Messy and Audi.

The friendship of two neighbouring dogs in Thailand

On one side of the street lives Messy, a very sociable labrador who loves to make new friends. On the other side, lives Audi the adorable husky.

Audi spends most of his day alone in the garden, waiting for his pet parent to return home from work. Left to his own devices all day, Audi sometimes gets anxious.

Across the road, Messy lives with pet parent Oranit Kittragul. Everyday, she shows him all the love he needs, and he, in turn, has improved the life of a friend he’d never even met, Audi.

In an interview with The Dodo, Oranit described how Messy speaks to Audi to keep him company: "When he feels lonely and cries, I always ask my dog to see and talk to him…My dog just looks from my fence and sometimes he barks to [Audi]. I don't know what they are communicating, but he stops crying."

A comforting presence

It seems that Audi felt so reassured by Messy that, when his garden gate was seemingly left unlocked, Audi raced over to show his thanks.

"He ran to my dog and they hugged each other," Said Oranit

The meeting was short-lived and Audi was retuned safe and sound, their friendship blossoming. Hopefully with many more meetings to come!

The heart warming story just shows that it takes more than a few fences to stop dog friendships from growing.
