A black Labrador named Tess was walking along and playing in the shallow water of the River Tay in Perth when she was swept away by the water unexpectedly.

The Incident

The 6-year-old dog did not expect to be swept away by water on her latest walk. Luckily, the brave Tess was able to jump onto an embankment after her scary encounter. A very kind lawyer named Laurence Kennedy, who having seen the whole episode jumped into the water and kept Tess safe until the fire service arrived to rescue her.

A Happy Ending

Tess’s rescue was recorded and can be watched below. Tess looks very happy to be back on solid ground, wagging her tail as she greets her owner! We can just imagine the happiness and relief her owner was feeling.
