Never before has a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame won a current world title.
Two old rivals Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier square off for the third time in a lightweight bout with the unofficial "BMF" title on the line in UFC 318.
The 36-yer-old Poirier, who has said he's retiring after this fight, has beaten the former UFC featherweight champion Hollow in their first two battles in 2012 and 2019, and will have a big home-octagon advantage in his home state of New Orleans.
The 33-year-old Holloway, though, is the narrowest of favorites as he looks to top an old nemesis.

Bleacher Report's Tom Taylor: Poieier to win
He writes: "somebody has to lose, and while Poirier may be a little slower than he once was, I think the outcome of his second fight with Holloway tells us all we need to know about this third meeting. Holloway was the faster back then too, but Poirier was smooth, accurate and powerful in his counter-assault. I expect things will unfold more or less the same this time around, to the joy of the fans in Louisiana."sdgfg
