Argo

Mustang

We saved Argo and in turn he saved me. He was living on the Air Force missle base in New Mexico and his herd was rounded up and sold to save them from the testing area. He was a yearling and we grew up together. He was my best friend growing up, as I didn't have any human friends. Have had so many adventures with him since then. I gentled him, green broke, and partially trained him as a kid.

He loves swimming in the pond.

  • My silliest trait

I gathered some photos of Argo and the herd from 2006, a time when the Mustangs' colors were fading to white and losing their dapples. :)

I forgot to update a few weeks ago that Argo had finally begun acting normally since Sam's passing. He was stressed and had stopped eating and was losing weight, he was finicky & restless, unlike his usual behavior. It was a hard time for all of us, but he is healthy & back at the head of the herd.

I found out that Argo lost a relative and herd mate yesterday. The mustangs were adopted together in 1995 and have been our Ranch's trinity ever since, so many childhood memories included him. So heartbroken. Going to miss him so much! Rest in Peace, Samson. Love you.

Eddie and Argo.

Tyzer looks like a good match; glad you cn have both your fellas together with you :p

Argo Thank you! I was super relieved, I couldn't have kept Eddie around of he didn't get along with Argo. Haha

Just posted some photos from 2003 that I thought were lost in a computer crash (many of our old digital photos were lost this way.) It has been long enough where I had completely forgotten about Argo being dappled grey at one point, which is silly because it is one of my favorite colors for a horse.

I posted all of the older photos that I have on hand. I need to search my parents' house for more. Everything posted so far is in as close to chronological order as I could remember. Future photos will probably not be in order at all.

Best Friends.

Argo When we were tired from playing we would lay flat in the grass, his head on my shoulder, and sometimes like shown, he was sit up and I would climb all over him. Sometimes nap curled up against him. He is truly my best friend. I love him so much. This was taken after the horses would roam free in our yard after we secured fence lines and made sure there was no way around the cattle guard. It was so much fun when they roamed around the house! ^__^
